Using Fold Talk today

Guidance reviewed against announcements and product documentation on October 28, 2026. Use this overview first, then explore the dated details below.

Autopilot

Start with your audience and context

  • Keep your business, offer, targeting, and never-contact rules up to date in Autopilot Context.
  • Connect relevant warm sources: your LinkedIn network, website visitors, former subscribers, or LinkedIn engagement. Profile-viewer campaigns require LinkedIn Premium and identifiable viewers.
  • Review the sample people, proposed messages, sender accounts, and displayed cost before approving work. Review individual people in network campaigns.
Open Autopilot →

Messaging

Prepare the message and the sender

  • Manage sending accounts by persona in Senders and reuse saved templates in campaign Messages.
  • LinkedIn voice notes require a connection. Personalized AI video requires an AI voice and a photo-based video avatar; generated media uses credits.
  • Preview the message and media. Send ASAP still respects sending hours and account limits.
Manage senders →

Inbox

Give Ori the information to answer well

  • Save pricing, links, decks, and reusable answers under Autopilot → Context → Resources, and add reply instructions to the Auto-reply card.
  • Use Inbox drafts to review answers. With Auto-reply enabled, eligible replies can send automatically; missing information or review requirements keep a reply as a draft.
  • Use Needs reply to find conversations waiting on you, and edit a queued reply to take over before it sends.
Open your Inbox →

Integrations

Measure outcomes and control spending

  • Connect Google Calendar separately under Settings → Integrations → Track meetings. Matching depends on the prospect’s email, so some bookings may not be attributed.
  • Review Autopilot’s Daily budget, campaign results, pending actions, and any rewrite costs before confirming changes.
  • External agents can use the scoped Autopilot API/MCP for supported operations. Whole-Autopilot on/off and pause/resume controls, and play targeting changes, remain app-only.
  • Sharing this guide supplies product context. It does not grant an agent permission to send messages, spend money, or change account access.

Dates are announcement dates. Historical entries describe the behavior announced then; later updates take precedence. Check current account availability and displayed prices before acting.

Your voice, personalized videos, and meetings tracked

Personalize your outreach, give Ori better answers, and see which campaigns turn into meetings.

Inbox

Reply drafts and Auto-reply

  • Ori drafts replies using your business information, saved resources, and the conversation so far.
  • Review, edit, or send the draft from your Inbox.
  • Missing a price, file, or other detail? Ori highlights what it needs instead of inventing an answer.
  • Turn on Auto-reply to send eligible replies automatically. Anything requiring your input or review stays as a draft.
  • Edit a queued reply to take over before it sends.
  • Add your booking link during setup. Calendly, Cal.com, and other booking links are supported.

How to use it: Keep business context and resources accurate before enabling automatic replies. Review drafts that are missing information.

Open your Inbox →

Autopilot

Answers and materials you can reuse

  • Ori can learn reusable information from the replies you send, including pricing, decks, one-pagers, and links.
  • Saved resources help answer the next prospect who asks a similar question.
  • A notification shows when something is saved and lets you undo it.
  • Add and edit resources yourself under Autopilot → Context → Resources.
  • Put reply-handling instructions in the Auto-reply card in Context.

How to use it: Save your actual materials and answer policies so future replies use approved information.

Manage business context →

Messaging

LinkedIn voice notes in your own voice

  • Add a voice note as a campaign sequence step.
  • Recorded notes use one recording for everyone.
  • AI-generated notes use an AI voice created from your recording to write and speak a personalized note for each prospect.
  • Listen to an individual prospect’s note before it sends.
  • Voice notes require a LinkedIn connection with the recipient, just like regular DMs.
  • Set up the AI voice on your persona under Senders, then add the voice-note step to your campaign.

How to use it: Use voice notes for existing LinkedIn connections or after an invitation is accepted.

Set up your sender →

Messaging

Personalized videos, screenshots, and attachments

  • Generate an AI video for each prospect using your sender’s AI voice and a video avatar created from a photo.
  • AI video requires both an AI voice and a video avatar.
  • Include a screenshot of the prospect’s company website in campaign messages.
  • Regular uploaded attachments remain available alongside generated media.
  • Choose Generate beside Attach in the message template editor.
  • Generated media uses credits. Review the generation cost before proceeding.

How to use it: Set up the sender assets first, then preview generated media for a prospect before using it in outreach.

Integrations

Track meetings from your campaigns

  • Connect Google Calendar under Settings → Integrations → Track meetings.
  • Fold Talk matches calendar bookings to people you have emailed.
  • A Meetings count appears on campaigns, and the booking appears in the Inbox conversation.
  • New matched bookings can trigger your configured reply alerts.
  • The calendar connection is separate from your sending-account connection.
  • Matching relies on the prospect’s email address. LinkedIn-only contacts and bookings made with another address may not be picked up.

How to use it: Use matched meetings alongside replies to evaluate campaigns; an unmatched booking does not mean no meeting occurred.

Connect meeting tracking →

Sourcing

Find buyers actively posting about your topic

  • A new Autopilot campaign type finds relevant buyers who posted on LinkedIn about their work in the last seven days.
  • The campaign can engage with the exact post that surfaced the person before reaching out.
  • A connected LinkedIn sender is required.

How to use it: Use recent posts as the reason for timely outreach when the author fits your target audience.

Inbox

A clearer next action in your Inbox

  • Email and LinkedIn messages appear together in one conversation per person.
  • Needs reply surfaces conversations waiting on you, including drafts with missing information.
  • Urgency markers and reminders help surface unanswered leads.
  • Mark a conversation Done, or reopen it when there is more to do.
  • Improved reply classification keeps objections and “not now” conversations visible for follow-up.

Autopilot

Campaign and spending controls

  • Set or adjust Daily budget from Autopilot. The card displays the current limit or No limit.
  • Pausing Autopilot leaves lead refills running on campaigns you manage yourself.
  • Template changes on launched campaigns show the affected people and rewrite cost before confirmation.
  • Failed message steps explain the problem more clearly and offer Retry and Skip actions.
  • Lists built in chat appear on the Lists page so you can find them again.

How to use it: Check the daily budget and confirmation details before approving a purchase or rewriting unsent messages.

Senders

Invite teammates to connect their accounts

  • Send a connection invitation link so a teammate can connect their own LinkedIn or email account.
  • The teammate does not need an Fold Talk login to complete that connection flow.
Manage senders →

Senders

Move eligible Fold Talk-mail domains to Gmail

  • Eligible domains can move to Gmail from domain settings.
  • The confirmation shows the price, sending pause, and warmup requirements before you proceed.

How to use it: Check eligibility and the expected interruption before approving a migration.

API / MCP

Autopilot API and MCP access

  • Connect your own tools to read Autopilot status, plays, activity, pending work, approvals, and budget information.
  • Supported write operations include individual-play controls, approvals, knowledge updates, and budget changes with the appropriate scopes.
  • Use scoped access and Autopilot webhooks to control access and respond to events.
  • The hosted Autopilot MCP endpoint is https://foldtalk.com/mcp/autopilot; the HTTP API is /api/autopilot/v1.
  • Create appropriately scoped access under Settings → Developers. The Autopilot API requires a paid plan and organization-level access; project-bound keys are not supported.
  • Turning Autopilot on/off or pausing/resuming Autopilot as a whole remains in the app. Changing a play’s targeting also remains app-only; do not assume every UI action has an API equivalent.

How to use it: Give an external agent only the access it needs. Reading this changelog does not authorize sending messages or spending credits.

Auto-reply to warm leads

Keep straightforward conversations moving with automatic replies and your booking link.

Historical launch behavior. Reply drafting and reusable business resources expanded on October 28; use that entry for the later workflow.

Inbox

Introducing Auto-reply

  • Auto-reply was announced for positive replies from your connected account, with straightforward answers based on business context.
  • Booking links let prospects choose a time. The launch supported available-time suggestions for Calendly and Cal.com in email, with other providers used as links.
  • The launch left pricing, proposals, objections, and questions it could not answer for you, with configured alerts.
  • The original setup was Settings → Notifications → General → Auto-reply → Add your booking link.
  • The same newsletter recapped the October 9 audiences and campaign controls; those are documented in the October 9 entry.

How to use it: Use the October 28 entry for the newer resource-aware drafting, missing-information handling, and queued-reply controls.

More audiences and more control

Find relevant buyers, refine plays in one conversation, and control exactly who gets contacted.

Sourcing

Profile viewers, shared backgrounds, and industry voices

  • LinkedIn profile viewers: reach identifiable people who recently viewed your profile. Requires a connected LinkedIn Premium account; anonymous visits are excluded.
  • Shared backgrounds: find buyers who attended your school, worked at a former employer, or share an accelerator or program with your company.
  • Fold Talk checks audience fit and whether there are enough matching people to build a shared-background campaign.
  • Industry voices: find buyers engaging with relevant people in your industry, alongside topic-based post-engager campaigns.
Explore your campaigns →

Autopilot

Change plays from one conversation

  • Use Ask Fold Talk about your plays at the bottom of Autopilot to change draft targeting, revise messaging, or remove someone from a sample.
  • Fold Talk checks whether the change is relevant to other campaigns and asks whether to apply it there or use it for future campaigns.
  • Message edits on running campaigns include confirmation of how many unsent messages would be rewritten.

How to use it: Describe the desired change and review its proposed scope before applying it across campaigns.

Ask Fold Talk about your plays →

Autopilot

Approve the people you contact

  • LinkedIn network campaigns wait for individual-person approval before messaging.
  • Open Review, inspect each person and their messages, keep the desired people selected, and choose Start sending.
  • People you deselect are added to your never-contact list.
  • Campaigns using the new sourcing system show people, sources, example messages, and price per person together.
  • Approve the campaign, request changes, or stop it from the review.
Review campaign people →

Messaging

More natural outreach and reliable template edits

  • Clearer offers and more useful follow-ups grounded in what your business does.
  • Less forced personalization and generic AI phrasing.
  • Connection requests stay blank by default unless there is a meaningful shared connection to mention.
  • Fixes address incorrect company references, closing lines that did not persist, and drafts retaining old wording after template changes.

Messaging

Control individual sequences

  • From a campaign’s People tab, select eligible people and pause, resume, approve, or hold their sequences for approval.
  • Send ASAP prioritizes the next eligible message while respecting sending hours and account limits.
  • Stopped sequences no longer incorrectly display messages as Scheduled.
  • Sequences stopped by your manual message can be resumed where eligible.
Manage campaign people →

Senders

More reliable sending and lead refills

  • LinkedIn campaigns can continue for people without email addresses by skipping their email steps.
  • A disconnected or busy LinkedIn sender no longer unnecessarily blocks email in the same campaign.
  • Removed senders no longer receive new sequence assignments.
  • A simple LinkedIn connection greeting no longer automatically ends a sequence.
  • Stronger exclusion checks before lead purchases and fixes preventing rejected review samples from being contacted.
  • Held campaigns no longer prevent Autopilot from building the next campaign.
  • Fixes address refills stopping early and large lead purchases timing out.

Autopilot

Results, attention items, and setup progress

  • Autopilot brings campaign results, items needing attention, and overnight activity together.
  • Review the targeting and messaging guidance Autopilot uses.
  • Campaigns and Lists provide a simpler combined view of drafts and launched work.
  • Stop stuck list builds and see clearer explanations when a list comes back short.
  • Done-for-you mailbox setup includes more reliable DNS checks and recovery from accounts stuck on checking.
  • Private Slack channels are easier to find when configuring notifications.

Turn warm signals into campaigns

Reach your network, website visitors, former customers, and relevant post engagers.

Sourcing

Four warm lead sources

  • LinkedIn network: find first-degree connections who fit your ideal customer profile.
  • Website visitors: connect PostHog or add the website snippet to find prospects at companies visiting your site.
  • Former customers: connect Stripe with a read-only key to build campaigns for former subscribers.
  • LinkedIn post engagers: find potential buyers commenting on or reacting to posts about the problems you solve.
  • Use Improve Autopilot to connect sources, inspect setup progress, or stop a campaign build.
Connect lead sources →

Integrations

Your website as a lead source

  • The website visitor snippet identifies visiting companies.
  • Setup includes instructions for common website builders, a developer handoff, or a prompt for your coding agent.
  • Visits were announced as becoming available after about a day; allow collection time after setup.
  • Company identification does not mean every individual visitor is identified.
Set up website tracking →

Messaging

Understand each campaign

  • Activity, People, Messages, and Settings tabs organize campaign details.
  • See why something is waiting, who needs your attention, what each person will receive, and when the next message is expected.
  • Send yourself a test email from Messages.
Open campaigns →

Messaging

Save and reuse messaging

  • Save a campaign template under a name and load it into another campaign.
  • Ask the agent to use your saved template instead of recreating a sequence.
  • Writing guidance distinguishes existing connections, former customers, and people engaging with relevant posts.
Open Messages → Templates →

Senders

Manage senders by person

  • Senders groups accounts under the person they send as.
  • Move accounts between personas and manage names and photos.
  • Campaign Settings lets you choose behavior when a person has email but no LinkedIn account, or the reverse.
Manage sender personas →

Autopilot

Refills, replies, and exclusions

  • Lead refills account for campaign priority, sender capacity, queued people, and sending days.
  • Mixed-channel sequences can continue to email after waiting for an unanswered LinkedIn invitation.
  • The Inbox Replies filter keeps conversations visible after you read them.
  • Sender logout alerts include a reconnect link.
  • Add named exclusions or upload a do-not-contact CSV through the agent.

Introducing Fold Talk Autopilot

Build campaigns from your business context and keep finding new prospects after launch.

Autopilot

Campaigns that keep working

  • Autopilot builds campaign recommendations from existing company information and usage.
  • Once you launch a play, Autopilot continues finding prospects and adding them to the campaign.
  • Autopilot was introduced with performance-based campaign stopping and new campaign creation.
  • Review campaign status, pending work, sending settings, and budget in Autopilot as you use it.

How to use it: Keep business context, exclusions, and budget settings current; ongoing sourcing means a campaign is not limited to its first batch.

A new way to build and review plays

Faster setup, persistent targeting rules, and clearer review before committing to a play.

Announcement date for the September rollout. Later Autopilot and billing updates take precedence over this historical description.

Autopilot

Proposed plays with visible assumptions

  • The agent reads your website and profile and proposes a complete play up front.
  • Assumed settings are shown so you can correct them together.
  • Suggested plays arrive as drafts with leads, copy, and senders prepared for review.
Review suggested plays →

Sourcing

Review sample leads and pricing

  • The announced play-building flow moved lead-spend approval to sample acceptance.
  • Review the sample and displayed price before approving the purchase.
  • This historical change is specific to the lead-review flow. Other paid actions, including generated media and message rewrites, can use credits.

How to use it: Use the price and confirmation shown for the action you are taking; do not assume every operation is free.

Autopilot

Targeting and feedback stay with the play

  • Targeting rules and rejection feedback live in the play rather than only in a chat transcript.
  • Rejecting a sample lead informs the play’s targeting rules.
  • Cloning a play carries its rules into the copy.

Autopilot

Fold Talk 1.3 and clearer campaign holds

  • Improved lead judgment and calibration.
  • Campaign pages explain why a campaign is held and what it is waiting for.
  • The rollout announced continued access to the legacy chat experience; navigation and availability may have changed since then.

Content discovery and LinkedIn engagement

Draft content for your audience and add post engagement to outreach sequences.

Content

Content mode v2: Review and Discover

  • Review suggests and drafts posts for X, LinkedIn, and Instagram using relevant trending content.
  • Discover helps find more viral content in your niche.
  • Work with the agent to iterate on drafts.
  • Content mode was announced as plan-restricted; check current plan access rather than relying on the historical price threshold.
Open Content →

Messaging

Comments and reactions as sequence steps

  • Campaigns can comment on and react to a prospect’s own LinkedIn posts.
  • Engagement steps do not require a connection, so they can precede an invitation.
  • Engagement runs in its own sending lane with a daily cap separate from DMs and invitations.
  • Match post reactions support six reaction types and select one suited to the post.
Edit a sequence →

Senders

Refresh your LinkedIn network

  • Refresh connections fills missing names and headlines for older LinkedIn connections.
  • Use the sender’s Refresh connections action when headline-based network searches miss people.
  • The announcement limited refresh to once a day per sender.
Review LinkedIn senders →

Senders

Campaign and setup fixes

  • Fixes for LinkedIn profile-not-found errors and campaigns incorrectly reporting no sender.
  • Fixes for email stalling after fallback-sender selection and reactions incorrectly reporting like.
  • Guided launch, refill recovery after restarts, and template example display improvements.
  • Done-for-you mailbox warmup no longer appeared active before inboxes were available.
  • Improvements to India payment handling covered pre-debit states, settlement timing, and upgrade mandates.

More sending capacity and campaign controls

New inbox options, faster connection follow-ups, and more control over individual leads.

Senders

Pre-warmed inbox marketplace

  • The marketplace introduced domains with aged sending inboxes.
  • Browse the catalogue and preview addresses before purchasing.
  • Domain-level cancellation was announced without a minimum term.
  • Check current inventory, price, sending readiness, and purchase terms before buying.
Review domains →

Senders

More sender capacity and clearer chat billing

  • The announcement raised the organization email sender cap from 50 to 200; LinkedIn remained at 50.
  • Done-for-you order limits increased to 10 inboxes per domain, 20 domains per order, and 200 inboxes per order.
  • Chat messages were clarified as not consuming credits. Paid actions requested through chat may still incur costs.
  • These are historical limits; use current plan and order-screen limits for new purchases.

Inbox

Organize and follow up on replies

  • Create organization-wide colored tags, apply them to conversations, and filter your Inbox by tag.
  • Configure SMS reply and review alerts from the dashboard.
  • SMS alerts support STOP to opt out and START to return.
Open Inbox →

Messaging

Schedule and refill individual campaigns

  • Pause an individual sequence until a chosen date, resume it, or reschedule an armed follow-up step.
  • Auto Lead Refill adds prospects to campaigns and can be toggled per campaign or controlled through the agent.
  • Auto Lead Refill was announced as on by default; review each campaign’s current setting.
Review campaign settings →

Senders

Faster LinkedIn follow-ups and sender setup

  • Event-driven LinkedIn acceptance detection releases eligible follow-ups when the acceptance is detected, replacing the older periodic polling approach.
  • When a noted invitation cannot be sent, the sequence can fall back to a plain invitation.
  • Ask the agent to set a mailbox signature.
Manage sending accounts →

Better outreach writing and offer development

Updated writing guidance for newly created email and LinkedIn campaigns.

Messaging

More useful first messages and offers

  • New campaigns use revised email and LinkedIn writing guidance informed by message-performance research.
  • The agent helps develop the offer or lead magnet as part of the outreach.
  • The announcement applied to new campaigns, not automatic rewriting of existing messages.
  • The same update was shared in the August 27 newsletter.
Review your campaign messaging →

Template editing, exclusions, and AI model options

Edit precisely, preserve manual changes, and improve control over campaign setup.

Integrations

Bring your own AI key

  • Organization admins could connect an OpenAI or Anthropic API key under Settings → Integrations → AI Integrations.
  • Enabled models appeared in the chat model picker with a reasoning-level option.
  • The announcement described no platform charge for these model calls; provider charges still apply to your own key.
  • Check current availability and model settings before relying on this historical option.

Messaging

Hand-edit templates and leave targeted comments

  • Edit template copy and variables directly.
  • Comment on specific words or spans for the agent to resolve, including mentions.
  • The agent resolves individual comments while preserving unrelated manual edits.
  • Edit example cards in the Examples rail.
Open campaign templates →

Sourcing

More consistent exclusions

  • Do-not-contact matching was expanded across people and company identifiers, including email, phone, LinkedIn URL, name, domain, and supported attributes.
  • Normalized identifiers improve matching across search, enrichment, and LinkedIn engagement.
  • Use your organization’s exclusion controls and permissions; this does not grant access to another organization’s exclusions.
Review exclusions →

Messaging

Problem-led outreach

  • Writing guidance moved away from profile-recap openers toward specific problems and useful offers.
  • Subject lines focus on the problem rather than repeating the reader’s job title.
  • This release also revised connection-note guidance. October 9 later changed connection requests to stay blank by default unless there is a meaningful shared connection.

Senders

Clearer setup, sender names, and Inbox results

  • Sender display names use configured names, send-as aliases, provider profile names, and persona information.
  • Campaigns missing copy show a notice with an Ask agent to write their messages action instead of falsely appearing ready.
  • When searches return no leads, the agent checks for contradictory filters before broadening.
  • The Interested Inbox filter includes meeting requests and information requests, with matching badge counts.
  • Navigation was consolidated; scheduled tasks moved into organization settings in this release.
  • Chat-created campaigns can be deleted from Campaigns; mailbox ordering surfaces inboxes already owned on a domain.
  • Low-qualification tables show a warning.

Campaign sending rebuilt

A rebuilt campaign system improves reliability and use of connected sending accounts.

Messaging

More reliable campaign delivery

  • Campaign infrastructure was rebuilt to address delayed and hanging messages.
  • The update addressed campaigns being blocked when one sending account was full despite other connected accounts being available.
  • Use campaign activity and sender status to understand current sending eligibility.
